Robin Hood Athletic AFC celebrate victorious season

After securing their title hopes with an emphatic 4-2 victory over Pool, Robin Hood Athletic AFC were crowned champions of the WYL Division 1 on May 3rd – with four games to spare and the highest points tally in Division 1 league history! In addition the club reached the Leeds and District Cup Quarter Finals and West Yorkshire Association Football League Semi Final.

Their season, not unlike that of the ‘big boys’ Manchester City and Liverpool, has seen many high scoring games, including 8-0 at home to Featherstone Colliery, 7-1 away to Baildon Trinity Athletic and 5-0 at home to Altofts.

Historical Season

Success might have been a long time coming, with many 3rd and 4th placing’s over the years, but to win the 2013-14 season in such style has certainly helped erase many painful memories and mend countless broken hearts!
